January 27, 2016-Best Week EVER

Hello family.
This week has been insane. So many things have happened. Starting with Monday we had a surprise interview with president . That was awesome though, I love talking with president. He is awesome.  We've had so many weird things happen to us. For example on Friday, elder T found that he had a wisdom tooth , so we went and got it removed. It was like a sharks tooth. It was massive. So yes, it has made this weekend a less of a delight for him that is FORSURE. He is handling it like a boss though. We have still gone and worked everyday, so good for elder T for being a faithful elder !   Also while teaching in deal paso heights I got both bike tires jacked off my bike... So that has caused some troubles. We moved back into our apartment . But when it started poring rain again it leaked and caused more wet spots all over the wall. So they are trying to deal with that. Today while driving the car I unrolled the window and some how I think the glass shattered inside the door , so that's no good.  I tried ox tail for the first time. It was a Filipino meal called curecure . It was amazing. We also have so much work going on. We should have some baptisms coming up. Possibly 3 or 4. So there has been no shortage of teaching appointments.  On Wednesday there was a world wide missionary broadcast from salt lake. The quorum of the 12  and members of the 70 trained every missionary in the world. I guess I could say the number one message I took from the meeting was the importance of setting up an environment in which the spirit can testify to the investigator that things we share are true. More important than what I say is the opportunity for the spirit to be present. We must be the vessel  that spirit can reside in so we can carry it into their homes. We gain the spirit long before we enter their homes. It starts at our obedience and our preparations through studies !

So on Saturday we fasted with one of our investigators who is so solid and is going to make the best member of the church but he just has a few questions that he won't tell anyone. We fasted and it was such a powerful fast. It was weird because the fact o was fasting didn't even phase me. We went to their home for dinner and  talked about it. He read a scripture that struck him in doctrine and covenants section 8:10.  Which if you read it, it literally speaks directly to his situation. We then proceeded to have a super spiritually powerful lesson. It was crazy. Not only that but the next day at church everything we talked about the night before was EXACTLY what we talked about in elders quorum. How crazy is that ? We also had another lesson that night. He is getting so close . The fast just felt so good and got him that much closer. I have such a testimony of fasting... It really does work !! I love you all ! I love where I am at in the ward I'm in with the companion I got . Till next week !

I found this in the mission office . It's the picture of everyone I came into the mission with. Only half are left. The rest most of them went to Modesto.

January 18, 2016-Here is the Low Down

Sorry family and friends for the lack of emails the last couple of weeks. It's been incredibly busy and non stop moving so I will give you the low Down.
So yes last week I said good bye to mission oak ward. And yes that was heartbreaking there was a lot of amazing people o had to say good bye to that I hold very near to my heart. When you stay 6 months In one area who would have thought you could get attached to the people?  I definitely have gained a testimony of loving those that you serve. When you love those you serve eternal bonds are made, and friendships developed. Strangers become family. It's kind of strange. But also amazing.
But I've been transferred back into the north sacramento stake in the natomas 3rd ward. I served in north stake back in foothills ward 8 months ago. My new companion is elder T from Hawaii. And I absolutely love him. He is one of the most amazing men I have ever met. Elder T has been through so much to get to where he is at today. And I admire and honor him for it. He knows what faith really is. He is a great example to me. Plus he knows how to work. So we are looking forward to some great baptisms here. This area has so many just waiting to happen with just a few little bumps in the road to get there. So wish us luck.  I am still very happy to be where I am at. I am serving as a district leader also.
This week has been kind of an unsettled one as we have been pretty much homeless. The apartment had a ton of mold in it so the mission booted us out while management fixed the problem so we have been couch surfing and staying at others missionaries apartments. All my stuff is getting separated.... Grrreeeeaaat! It has been quite the adventure. We have a ton of Tongans in the area and they love to feed the missionaries. It's been fantastic. I love the Polynesians culture. Especially now that one of them is my companion. I now know what it's like to be a minority.  Our area is massive and my legs are going to get huge, this time we do have a convince car though. That's a blessing . Especially because we have quite a few investigators spread out.   We are being blessed left right and center . Heavenly Father has taken care of us all week as we have strived to serve him with all our might  heart mind and strength. It will be an awesome transfer.  I love the work that we are doing in this area. I love my Heavenly Father.
We had a good talk with president about the atonement and the love that Heavenly Father has for each of us. Wow. Slowly but surely I am awakening to what Heavenly Fathers love truly is. And how his gospel truly is the good news. This message bring exaltation and I know that it's true . All of it. It has to be . And I know because of the witness of the spirit that it is true.

Have a wonderful week family. I love you all.

If any of you know paintings, this is funny.
