May 18, 2015-Another Week in Paradise!

So this week i dont know if ive ever been this tired before ! getting out of bed has been HARD.

Monday :

Pretty regular p-day... Except no sports for us because Elder Do. cant on his ankle and my hands were still a little messy. i finally watched ""meet the Mormons "for the first time! not too bad of a film, and out of the 6 movies i can watch its gotta be one of my favorites ! 

Tuesday:

did missionary work!  we gave a couple of priesthood blessings. today was kind of an off day! One of our investigators was struggling with knowing the truth and started to think of dropping us. its amazing how the biggest sorrow you feel out here is for your investigators that satan desires to take away. But the Atonement works for that also!

Wednesday:

Today we provided service for a member laying some terf. Yup cali is in such a drought everyone is converting to terf ! We also got to teach B. who was given a priesthood blessing last week. He described how that feeling he got receiving the blessing carried on for the next 4 days. and his mind has been clear and he has gained a bigger perspective especially with learning the plan of salvation.  He talked about wanting that spirit that he felt back again as soon as possible!

thursday:

District meeting today! i learned a ffew new things, like the secret to being a progressing missionary! and that is to ALWAYS  try new things. also we got a flat on the way there and Elder B. changed a tire in 4minutes flat. 

Friday;

Did Service again! we painted this porch thing white ! and got paint every where! we weekly planned and also had dinner with a sister in our ward who is dating a non member ! He's very spanish so hes a little hard to teach but he wants to be baptized ! so we will see how he will progress ! 

Saturday:

we helped some people move in. then on our way home there was this Old lady who was walking but looked like she was ready to pass out. so we stopped to talk to her to see iff she needed help and she said YES. we got off our bikes and walked her to her destination. She was so grateful !! it was amazing . The spanish guy wanting to be baptized came to a baptism with us also ! 

Sunday :

yesterday was the sabbath. always awesome! we taught R. again and we spent sometime adventuring in part of our area that we dont really know !

I love the Gospel. its amazing. ive noticed everyday how much more i can see the Holy Ghost prompt me in my life. look into how to seek it out better!

May 12, 2015- TRANSFERS

Monday:

Today marks the third day that i ate macdonalds. Ummm we had a dinner with an awesome family ! Reminds me alot of my own. we played Spoons, which i hope you all know.. and if you dont LEARN . so much fun.. i havent done that in ages. WE GOT TRANSFER CALLS. Elder J. is going to the Office and Elder D. is coming into the area! Elder D. is An awesome missionary. He's been out on his mission for a year and he is from Japan. Yup i have an asian companion and he is honestly such a great guy! we get along great!

Tuesday:

So this is P-day. Elder J. woke up early barfing so i had to help him with that. 

No idea what it was. there is also a guy that stands on the corner with this massive sign that says Jesus on it with his bike. 

Anyways he also had his kid with him this time. We didnt see but came right after but his kid was ran over by a car so Elder J. and i pulled over and dove right in to helping them . J. and I both have a little first aid training so we were there helping and trying to get people to chill out until the ambulance arrived. that was exciting. 

Wedneday:

Transfers. i met Elder D. and we got right to work. That guys english is amazing! We taught a bit. Also gave a blessing to this investigator. Just immediatly reconfirmed to me the reality of the Priesthood. Especially because of the spirit that investigator felt .  It was completely unreal. Priesthood is real. 

 Thursday:

Today we fasted with  one of our investigators. so we are hoping something is going to happen. It was mostly just a regular day! We taught more english to spanish people which is always a joy ! 

Friday:

Weekly planning ! We went to some sort of Medical home that this guy wanted us to go to and see some people . We met this guy who is a fijian ! this guy is amazing and has an amazing testimony of Jesus Christ . This guy has quite the life.

Saturday:

Today There was a few things that happened but ELder D. got to skype his family because of the time difference . But i guess the biggest thing that happened was i ate it so bad on my bike. ill send a picture to you  ... super embarrassing and blood everywhere.

Sunday :

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY.

Love ya mommy. seriously you are the best.  Proverbs 31:10-31 describes my mother. 

it was so awesome to talk to my family i miss all of them ! It was wonderful to see them. and i am glad to report my family has not changed, still as strange as ever.

May 4, 2015-Mormon Moments

monday:

Normal Pday... except in the morning . down the street from the apartments about a mile away was a shooter gone wild! so that made things exciting. VERY. Its a crazy world out there. We also taught one of our investigators. She has been taught everything. Knows its all true ... but still waiting on a definte answer from God ! Shes soooooo close ! and now her daughter wants to get baptized too! also cool, elder J. and i get the exact same promptings to talk to certain people.We just look at each other when we see them and we act. super legit. 

Tuesday:

Long day, but here it goes! started with service for a member doing some yard work.  We also got a call from a guy we apparently contacted a while ago. but he wanted us to meet in a park so we could talk. so Clearly we were excited and expectted something awesome to happen.... turns out that he wanted to show us his Gospel rap that he has made with his pastor. It was pretty good though ! We also had a lesson with R. who likes to magnify her calling when it comes to her homework... like WOW. She did all the work in the pamphlet and all three reading assignments we gave her. pretty impressive ! We got to talk to a recent convert. She shared with us her first "mormon moment."so amazing, i wont go into details but essentially someone tried bashing the church and she became a defender of the faith and kindly told someone to stop and bore her testimony. super cool.   taught some english to spanish people today.

Wednesday:

So the highlight of today was that last sunday A part member family had a great experience. We gave them a Book of Mormon. We prayed flipped open a page and gave it to him to read.We followed up. and wow!! its crazy ! He is now praying about a baptismal date! the scripture he read wwas Jacob 4:10. 

Thursday:

 Taught R. again and this time she had her homework hanging up on the wall on sheets and sheets of paper! this girl is ready for baptism! we also got to teach more English but today to show their appreciation, all the spanish people made us an authentic Mexican pot luck! 

Friday:

I cannot beleive how hot it gets here! i dont know what it is in celsuis but it was 94 f here all week. crazy.  we did a service project for a big chunk of he day washing tables! our apartment doesnt have any air conditioning so we were sleeping in an apartment that was 85 degres hot ! that was crazy 

Saturday:

ZONE TRAINING. Amazing training. The thing i pulled out of it the most is using silence in teaching appointments! its so important ! Gotta give space for the spirit to speak ! also if i dont plan and seek revelation for every visit, then they are only visits !  w

e went to one part of our area today that we dont usually go to often because you have to take a car to get there but when we got there the first person we talked to was the reason why we went. she was having such a rough day and needed a some spiritual strength. immediatly she recognized us as servant of the lord.

Sunday :

What a blessed day. We had soooo many inestigators cme to church ! Plus an investigator came and even went to Gospel Principles and gave a beautiful defintion of why we fast. He said something like fasting is away to nourish our spiritual body by having it overcome our physical body. we can learn a mini lesson every fast sunday of what it takes to overcome the natural man. Ummm we also had dinner at an awesome members house who told so many amazing spiritual stories .

Anyways i love you all. This gospel is true. there is nothing more important in this life than coming unto our savior Jesus Christ, tasting of its fruits and sharing it with others. Read and pray everyday for that spiritual reharge and seek out the spirit always.
